Wyoming Board of Chiropractic Examiners

Mask Exemptions and Waivers

The Board has been made aware that some chiropractors are being asked to provide waivers or exemptions to mask requirements from their patients. If a patient requests a mask exemption for a specific health reason, those patients should be referred to the primary provider treating that health matter.

Licensees are expected to comply with local mandates regarding sanitization of hands and equipment, biohazard guidelines, and mask wearing. The professional codes of ethics do mandate licensees adhere to all relevant laws and ensure the protection of patients under their care.

Chiropractic Office Closures

In light of recent events, several licensees have asked the Board to advise them how best to continue their practice and have specifically asked for the Board’s guidance on potential office closures, whether due to general COVID safety or as a result of potential exposures.

The Board of Chiropractic Examiners cannot close your office due to COVID-19. If there would be any mandatory closures, it would not come from our office. We also cannot advise you on the correct course of action. The following links may help you make an informed decision regarding your business.

Licensees may also wish to contact their local health officer for additional information.

No matter the circumstance, licensees are still required to adhere to the Board’s Rules, Practice Act, and professional standards related to their professions.

Emergency Rules - Continuing Education

The Board of Chiropractic Examiners has filed emergency rules changes to Chapter 4. Please go to the Rules page for more details.

Board Staff & Office Availability

The State of Wyoming has adjusted its work policies to protect the health and safety of our staff and licensees. Effective immediately and until further notice, board staff will be working remotely.

Although the office will remain open, due to limited staffing we encourage you to e-mail board staff with inquiries. While we are constantly monitoring phone traffic, e-mail is the most efficient way to reach us:

Emily Cronbaugh - emily.cronbaugh@wyo.gov

Jason Brock -jason.brock1@wyo.gov

If you need to speak with a staff member, please call the office and leave a voicemail message. We will return your call as quickly as possible.

We continue to accept and process applications as usual, though processing times may be slightly delayed.
